Art on Paper local artist award, sponsored by the Friends of Hazelhurst. Was won by local artist Christoper Lawrie. WHITE HISTORY (‘An introduction to Australian History’ by A. G. L. Shaw and H. D. The Friends annual exhibition at Hazelhurst was a great success with 101 artists exhibiting with over 100 exceptional art works displayed in the Broadhurst Gallery. Our opening held on Saturday afternoon attracted 150 people and we were delighted when artist Idris Murphy came along and opened the exhibition. There were some very excited artists as twelve artworks were sold during the period of the exhibition. Members came along to a morning tea in the Cottage followed by artists talks in the Broadhurst Gallery.
