Hyde Park Walking Tour: From the Anzac Memorial to St. James Church

    09:30 -15:00

Starting with a Guided Tour of the Anzac Memorial and finishing with a concert in St. James Church, join John for an exploration through Hyde Park.

Surrounded by majestic buildings and incorporating gardens, avenues, water features and statues, Hyde Park is the centre of 200 years of stories as the oldest designated park in Australia proclaimed by Governor Macquarie in 1810.

Have a coffee beforehand and meet inside the southern ground floor entrance of the Anzac Memorial at 9.30AM. We’ll talk to current artist in residence Cory Rinaldi before a 10.00AM guided tour. John will then highlight key points of interest as we weave through Hyde Park.

Bring a sandwich and snacks for lunch in Hyde Park before we cross to St. James Church for the 1.15 – 1.45PM concert. John will then conclude the walking tour with a detailed look inside the Church after the concert.

Cost: $15.00 FOH Members only. Bookings essential through Hazelhurst Administration.

Note: A medium level of fitness is required as there are some stairs to negotiate as well as walking through the park. Wear sturdy shoes, hat(or umbrella), sunscreen and carry bottled water. The group will be strictly limited to 15 pre-paid participants. When booking please include your mobile phone number.
