    Friends of Hazelhurst Welcome to 2018 Event for all and new and renewing members - Thursday 8th February, 6.30pm

    Join us for a glass of wine and New Year get-together in our wonderfully restored Heritage Cottage for an evening of conversation and information.

    Friends Committee Members will welcome you to the Cottage and update you on Friends activities and Hazelhurst Director, Belinda Hanrahan will give you a Hazelhurst welcome and a broader perspective and update.

    Enjoy a tour to see the latest changes in the Cottage, before adjourning to the arts centre theatrette to view the Broadhurst Hazelhurst story and see behind the scenes in the Hazelhurst Galleries’ preparation area.

    Notice of Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Hazelhurst members - February 15th 2018, 7pm

    Notice is hereby given that the annual General Meeting of the Friends of Hazelhurst members will be held on Thursday February 15th 2018 at 7pm in the Hazelhurst Theatrette. In keeping with the constitutional requirements, all committee positions are vacated by the 2017 incumbents at the meeting and elections held to fill the roles for 2018.

    Please come along, support the committee and become involved. Some committee members are unable to stand for positions in 2018 so your help and assistance to continue the ongoing success of Friends of Hazelhurst will be greatly appreciated.

    Nominations are able to be make even if you are unable to attend the meeting. Contact us through info@friendsofhazelurst.or or at the Admin Desk for a Nomination Form. The 2017 Committee look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

    ARTZTALK : TRAVELS IN PERSIA with Dr John Tidmarsh, Saturday 17th February, 2.30pm.

    There are few countries in the world that can rival Iran with its diversity of  cultures and spectacular ancient monuments. Join Dr John Tidmarsh as we explore its striking landscapes, timeless villages, and  legendary cities such as Persepolis, Takht-i Sulayman (with its fire temples and ‘bottomless’ lake) and magnificent Isfahan, ‘Pearl of Islam’.

    John Tidmarsh is the former president of the University of Sydney’s Near Eastern Archaeology Foundation and former lecturer in the Department of Archaeology. He is co-director of the University’s excavations at Pella in Jordan, and the Australian Archaeological Mission at Jebel Khalid in Syria. He has also excavated in Greece and Cyprus and has led numerous tours to the Middle East and eastern Mediterranean.
