The Friends of Hazelhurst together with the Sutherland Shire Library Services offer Friends’ members the opportunity to exhibit their artworks in the Southern Lounge of the Sutherland Library. This is a great opportunity to exhibit your work in a  public open spaces for 2 months.

Currently Janelle Langridge is exhibiting at the library. From an early age Janelle has expressed an interest in art, experimenting with a variety of mediums and styles. She studied Art during her teacher training years and since then attended courses and workshops run by professional award winning artists who challenged and inspired her. Janelle is an artist who loves working with acrylics, where she can use delicate or strong colours and vary the texture with brush and palette knife. She also paints with watercolour, which allows both freshness and luminescence on paper, and mixed media where she enjoys experimenting with different mediums and textures. Because Janelle has always been drawn to and inspired by the amazing beauty of what she sees as God’s creation, her subject matter is mostly landscape and still life. She likes to convey her love and appreciation of the Australian landscape in particular. Janelle enjoys sharing her artwork with others and trusts they may find in the viewing some of what she feels in the artwork. You can find more information on pricing and Janelle’s artworks that are currently exhibited at the library here.
